FAQ

Questions from the field.

Does SpotWeave really work offline?

Yes. Download a map region once and every Spot, note, photo and SpotSet inside it is a real copy on your device — not a cache that expires. Panning, saving and browsing all work with no connection.

Does SpotWeave track my location in the background?

No. Your device position is only read while the app is open, to show where you are on the map and to prefill a new Spot’s coordinates. We never record a track or a history, and nothing is uploaded as a breadcrumb trail.

What happens to the photos I attach to a Spot?

They’re downscaled on your device and stripped of EXIF metadata — including GPS — before upload, then stored in a private bucket with no public URLs.

How many regions can I keep offline?

One without an account, three once you sign in (free), unlimited with Pro. A region is one download, whether it is a single district or a whole country — and you can delete one and download another whenever you like.

How much does Pro cost?

Pricing is set in the App Store and Google Play listings, not here — Pro is an in-app purchase, and there’s no checkout on this website.

When can I download SpotWeave?

The apps are in development. Join the community for launch news, or check back here — this page will carry real store badges the day they ship.
